| R.A.S. Data Networks can provide wired networks for both CAT 5E and CAT 6. The networks involve the installation of data points at locations around the building wired back within the recognised transmission distance to a central comms cabinet. In large buildings with multiple comms cabinets located around the building these would be interconnected by a fibre backbone network. Each of the comms cabinets can be provided with cooling fans, UPS back up in the event of a power supply failure, anti surge devices for mains power and generator backup. |
| On larger installations the comms room can be provided with air conditioning to ensure that the equipment is kept within the correct operating temperature range. The wired networks can provide for both data and voice transmission and in addition the networks can be integrated with other services such as CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Systems. These will provide both intercommunication and verification of these systems. R.A.S.
