R.A.S. Addressable fire systems can be installed in any location but are ideally suited to medium to large size premises. These systems provide each detector with an individual address so that it is easy to identify the exact location of a fire alarm activation. This will then reduce the response time to an activation as the system will indicate exactly where the incident has occurred. These systems can be expanded and interconnected via network connections to provide cover over very large sites such as hospitals, universities and large administration buildings.
Addressable systems are suitable for sites where there are multiple buildings but where a single fire strategy is required for the entire site. Addressable systems can be interconnected to provide other functionality, in particular in relation to the releasing of Access Control systems in the event of a fire, monitoring of critical equipment, shutdown of extraction and other systems in the event of a fire and the control and monitoring of suppression systems within computer rooms or areas where there is a high fire risk.
